Welcome to Frontier Baptist Church! We are a fundamental church (holding to the clear principles of Scripture), independent (self-sustaining and self-governing), and Baptist (not part of a denominational hierarchy) located in the heart of Durango, Colorado. Whether you’re new to church, returning after a while, or looking for a church family to call home, you’ll find friendly faces, clear Bible preaching, and a place to grow. Come as you are—no perfect people required. Our desire is to grow in the Lord together, reach the lost and broken with the gospel, and serve our Lord with humility and joy. As a church family in Durango, we also seek to connect with our neighbors through the love of Christ—hospitality, community outreaches, and practical service that reflect His compassion and truth.

Our passion is to reach the lost with the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. We proclaim the gospel clearly and lovingly—from our pulpit, in personal conversations, and through local and global missions—so that sinners might repent, believe, and be made new. Established in 1992 and pastored by Peter Reitz, Frontier Baptist Church exists to make Christ known and to see lives eternally changed by His saving grace.
